Abstract
Prior research suggests that adverse childhood experience is associated with college adjustment difficulties. However, few studies have attempted to explain this effect. From a sample of 419 college students, we demonstrate that trait neuroticism may help explain the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and college adjustment.

Abstract
Gender is shown to have an influence on academic and job performance, but it is unclear how gender influences the publication rates of graduate students. Based on data from 201 Curriculum Vitae from new professors, student gender had no impact on publication rates, but there was a slight advantage in having a male supervisor (b = 1.02, d = 0.16, p = .001).
